German to English Translator

Professional German Translation Services
from a Qualified German to English Translator.

Do you...:

1. Have a German text you need translated into English?
2. Know that a machine translation can almost be worse than no translation at all?
3. Realise that an amateur translation just isn’t going to cut the mustard - and could even leave you or your organisation with egg on your face, lost business, or a dent in your reputation?

If yes, you need the translation services of a professional German to English translator. I’m Joanna, and I’d be delighted to help.

German to English translator, Joanna Scudamore-Trezek, translation German to English, Austria

About me:

I’m British, English is my native tongue, and I was brought up in the UK. I’ve been living in German-speaking Austria for many years and work as a professional German to English translator. I translate German into English for a range of translation agencies and private clients, both in Austria and abroad.

It's important for any German translator to keep up their English skills: I also write newsletter and advertising copy for major international corporations, and I make sure I spend around 5 weeks each year in an English-speaking country.

Qualifications:

I’m a Member of the British Chartered Institute of Linguists (MCIL) and have a Diploma in Translation (Dip.TransIOLeT), the Institute’s professional qualification. I’m a graduate of the University of Cambridge (1988) and before coming to Austria spent several years working in the UK in marketing & public relations.

Specialist areas:

I translate your:

Websites, marketing and information brochures, newsletters, magazines, advertisements, proposals, customer specifications, references, speeches, sales materials, catalogues etc.

In the fields of:

Advertising and PR, media, promotion, tourism, the arts, education & research, manufacturing, international organisations, science, consulting, event management etc.

Look me up:

You can check out my credentials on the web: I’m listed on the Chartered Institute of Linguists’ Directory of Members and I’m a member of the translator community ProZ.

Simply....

..contact me using the form below and we can start the ball rolling. I’ll look at your German text, let you know if I can provide you with a professional translation in your subject area, give you a quote and a realistic delivery time. Don’t worry – I promise your details won’t fall into the hands of any third parties.

In the meantime, perhaps you’d like to read up on a couple of the following topics, to be sure you know how to successfully commission a German translation and understand how translation jobs are charged.
