Here I'll show you some great German dictionary resources - both online dictionaries and hardcopy classics, plus tips on using free translation resources on the web to help you (bet you hadn’t thought of these!). I’ll also show you those aspects of German which bring the language alive - cool German for SMS-ing, slang and idioms, and the joys of regional dialects!

German is spoken by around 200 million people worldwide. It’s the official language of Germany, Austria and Liechtenstein, a recognised language in Luxembourg, Switzerland, Northern Italy and Eastern France, and an official working language of the European Union.
There are German-speaking communities in the US, Canada, South America, South Africa and Australia.
And more websites are written in German than any other language.
